This is the part where I ride off into the sunset.....

As you can see, I have removed all the posts from our process and for the past year. (We'll see if I regret that at some point, but it's done now). Next Sunday is April 1, 2007. For many people, April 1 is April Fools Day. For us, it will always be "Family Day", as it will be one year since Cristina joined our family. It has been an interesting year. In most ways she has settled in to us and we to her. Not surprisingly, there are still some big rough patches, due in part to what she has been through, and in part to her personality, which is very intense.

I've decided I don't want to write about it any more on the net. I want to live it, and lean on the support I have. This will be my last post on this blog. I need to close this chapter and move on. I have been contemplating this for a while. I never in a million years thought I would ever have a blog. I'm generally a very private person, in a large part due to my employment. It's very hard for me to "put myself out there" on the net, for all to see. But early in 2006, I thought I'd give it a try. While we were waiting and once she was home, it gave me an outlet for my stress and vehicle for support. Through this blog I have met several wonderful people. Those who have read it, THANK YOU. I love reading blogs and there are several blogs I read several times per week. I will continue to check in with some of these blogs. But for me, I have decided that I will instead send out periodic updates to people privately via email. These updates may include some family pictures, which is not something I've been comfortable posting here. If you are interested in receiving updates, please leave me a comment with your email address (I won't publish the comment here).
